Since 2011, Chris has been involved with art and vocational programs that serve adults with disabilities. It started with music making workshops but eventually developed into a grant funded project that involve artwork, music composition, recording, and teaching. Chris has worked most frequently with Center for Creative Works (Lower Merion, PA) but has also worked with SpArc (Philadelphia), Oasis Art Center (Philadelphia) and Outside the Lines (Boston, MA). In 2013, The McKnight Foundation selected Chris for a visiting composers residency in Minnesota where he spent two months working with three programs there.
To fund Outside Sound, Chris has been awarded the following grants from American Composers Forum: ACF Subito Grant; ACF Community Partners Grant; McKnight Visiting Composers Fellowship – you can learn more about ACF at composersforum.org
